The multiple-time world champion and Olympic medallist in biathlon / Croatian

I began to consider my possible future in Slovenia through famous Slovenian athletes. "My" Slovenia was first only limited to Pokljuka, where I used to watch the athletes I soon afterwards started training with and learning the Slovenian language. I have already become very familiar and friendly with Slovenian, of which I am particularly proud. Slovenia has been my home ever since 2008. After five years of representing this country my heart is still most joyful when I stand on the podium with a medal around my neck and hear the Slovenian national anthem in the background. And if I motivate and inspire Slovenian fans with my results, this makes me even happier and gives me fresh impetus.

Slovenia is my new homeland, my training course and my biggest supporter. The most successful Slovenian companies and many Slovenian fans believe in me too. I try to justify the trust Slovenia has placed in me through hard work, aspiration for perfection and by putting the last atom of my strength into every competition. I have stayed in Slovenia because I have become attached to this country - the landscape as well as the people, and because here, with the Slovenian biathlon team, the conditions to make progress in biathlon are much better than in my former country where biathlon is not a developed sports discipline.   I will be proud to represent the Slovenian colours in the future and most of all I wish that as often as possible the scoreboard would read: FAK, SLOVENIA. The only thing that could be better in Slovenia is a winter season with snow that started a month earlier and made the conditions for training better. :)
